I’m a photographer based in Auckland city. In my summer months I focus on weddings. Throughout the remainder of the year my time is a balance of commercial work and winter weddings (which happen to be my favourite). My husband and I have three young children and we live in the eastern suburbs of Auckland with our two dogs.
Prior to weddings, I worked for some of the country’s leading magazine titles as an editorial manager photographing editorial stories and portraits. When I had my little boy I decided to freelance and work solely as a photographer. At the time it was a pretty large decision but since then I’ve been fortunate to work with an incredible array of commercial and personal clients who have become friends, and in some instances like family to me.
My work has been extensively published in titles like Together Journal, The Lane, Magnolia Rouge, Fashion Quarterly, Viva, NZ Weddings and more. Magazine editors have described my work as “poignant, beautiful and emotional”. I consider my work a blend of photo-documentary and fine-art.
For me, wedding days are about the small moments. So much of the beauty of a wedding day rests in the way it feels. It’s the intangible – not just the big moments when everyone reaches for their camera. I aim to capture the way it feels to you. If I can bring my couples back to the time and place when they were married by creating authentic imagery, that celebrates friends and family in a natural way, then it really makes my role incredibly rewarding. I’d love to hear from you about your wedding. You can reach me by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by my contact form in the menu.
