Where to begin with Georgie and Tommy’s wedding. I pretty much wanted to photograph Georgie’s wedding for years – long before she was engaged. When eventually she made contact, I hoped like mad that I wouldn’t be booked – and unfortunately I was! Georgie was incredible and it seems she wanted me to photograph just as much as I wanted to photograph her, so she moved the date. Their wedding was at a beautiful family home in Onetangi on Waiheke overlooking the sea. Because Georgie & Tommy are based in L.A we didn’t get to catch up before the wedding except for a rushed phone call a few days before discussing backup photo options because it was forecast to rain…however on the day, while there were a few showers, we had some exceptionally beautiful light and I managed to find a stunning location that suited her incredible dress and styling. Without doubt, one of my favourite weddings I’ve ever been to, both from how it photographed but also how it felt. Relaxed elegance at its all time best.
